What Travis’ Students are Saying
Very Passionate about Animation and Teaching
Very passionate about not only animation itself, but also teaching it to others. More often than not, he goes over the time during Q&As discussing various topics regarding animation. You can see that he truly cares about whether we learn what we need to know in order to succeed. His knowledge is insightful and I’ve had no problem understanding him during Q&As or while watching the critiques.
Great Feedback
So much fun and very passionate about the work that it makes you want to do more. Gives great feedback. And always has a smile on his face.
Gives Great Demos
Travis always makes sure to squeeze questions out of us during class and is not afraid to explain everything that can be improved in our work. He also gives great demos to make sure we understand how to do something.
Overall an Amazing Mentor
This is my 4th mentor and I gotta say he is the best one so far. His way of approaching students and how he encourages everyone to ask something. Also his methodology on focusing on what makes you learn most and not what makes you look good is amazing and spot on. Overall an amazing mentor.
I Learned So Much
I learned so much from Travis. He would emphasize how physics works in each movement, which I found it very useful to understand. He is very detailed with every assignment’s feedback. I really appreciate that he takes the time to draw in each frame to show the concept of spacing and timing. I am very thankful that he would give us his honest advice on the journey to become an animator.
A Wonderful Mentor
Travis is a wonderful mentor. He really knows what he’s talking about. He’s very kind but straight to the point when it comes to feedback. The feedback is usually in depth, which is wonderful. I’m learning so much with him and I’m very happy to have him as a mentor.
