How to Animate Natural Walk Cycles

by | Nov 13, 2024

Walking is an important bio mechanic and locomotion to master in animation. Human walks are considered biped walks (upright 2-legged walk) while animals that stand on all four legs have a quadruped walk (4-legged walk).

In this workshop, Animator and Director Don Kim breaks down the process of animating a natural biped walk, delving into the body mechanics involved and doing a demonstration on the workflows to animate the walk.

He also takes questions from attendees to the live-recorded event.
