Elliott Roberts

Elliot is invested in his students’ understanding of the course material. I feel like there is encouragement to learn, experiment, and ask questions. I’ve been very happy with the class and excited to delve into Unreal and integrate my Maya animation.

Elliott has an excellent way of teaching. He is open to all questions during q&a’s and is thorough in his eCritiques. I have also liked how he always helps during the week when I have questions about my shot.

Elliott is great! He’s super charismatic with the class, all of the demos he shows are quick and to the point and super easy to understand. He’s always really excited to talk about animation and answer any question we have even if it’s not directly related to animation 🙂 12 out of 10 teacher.

Elliot provides amazing feedback and always goes the extra mile during class and outside of class to help out his students. He answers everyone’s questions and explains until the person understands, or if he doesn’t know he sends them to the right place.

Elliott is a rockstar mentor! Highly informative and energetic, Elliott has a passion for animation that is obvious the minute class starts. From technique demos to in-depth feedback, you’ll learn a lot from Elliott, and have a good time in the process!

Elliot helps me look at my shot from a different angle if something isn’t working and suggests things I could do to fix it (that I hadn’t thought about trying). He answers any questions I have and is super helpful when explaining what part of your shot isn’t working and why instead of just saying that it doesn’t work. He’s very open with any topics or questions any of us has and I like that we can all learn from each other even though we are animating different things.

I absolutely adore Elliott. He’s stellar. He’s kind, helpful, encouraging, and really great at what he does. I’d have him for every course if I could. I switched to AM from one of the “rival” animation schools and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. My mentors at the previous school would shame students for asking questions, or send back “corrected” files with no explanation of how they solved the problem. Elliott does everything he can to ensure that you understand the material. Great guy.

Elliot is very open about his experience in industry and just watching his workflow and tips of how he addresses problems we encounter in our work is very helpful. He’s more than willing to open our work in class and help us work through problems and if he has time he lets the class run over a bit to answer questions which I’m very grateful for. His feedback is very concise and has a clear direction in areas you can improve and really helps bring out the best. Great Teacher.
