What Jeremy’s Students are Saying
Very Knowledgeable About Animation and the Industry
He was very knowledgeable about animation and the industry. Every week I learned something new and useful in the Q&As. I loved that he had slides and videos to go along with things he was talking about. His critiques every week were always helpful in guiding me to make progress on my scene.
Feedback is Candid, Constructive and Thoughtful
I’m really happy to have had Jeremy as my mentor. His feedback is candid, constructive and thoughtful. He always takes time to answer our questions and his Q&A’s are extremely informative, very well presented and inspiring.
Always Answers Everyone's Questions to the Fullest
Mr. Lazare is an excellent mentor because he always answers everyone’s questions to the fullest. He gives us lots of examples and shows us step by step how to work through little things that will make us better animators. I think he is a great teacher as well as a good person and I think my classmates will agree with me. I give him a 10 out of 10.
Always Informative and I Never Felt Confused
Jeremy has really helped me understand the animation basics in a very digestible way. He introduced me to the Preston Blair Cartoon Animation book which has helped me a lot with important techniques such as the wave principle. Also, his critiques of my work were always informative and I never felt confused on why he felt the way he felt and what and how to improve.
His Critiques are Very Enlightening
Jeremy’s been one of my favorite mentors by far. He’s very meticulous with the way he teaches and leaves feedback, going over the workflow process step by step as well as introducing ideas that you may have missed or forgotten to implement. His critiques are very enlightening, broadening my perspective on how to improve a shot as a whole. He does a good job making sure you focus on the parts of the shot that are most important. I often feel bad for not knowing what questions to ask during Q&As.
Always Advising Us on How to Improve
I think Jeremy is a great mentor, always advising us on how to improve our shots but at the same time giving us that freedom of taking our own choices. He also always plans something to talk about in the Q&A but also asks students what they want to talk about or they feel they are struggling with. Amazing mentor.
Always Has Something New to Bring
Jeremy is amazing. He always has something new to bring to our meetings and his feedback is excellent. He always reminds me that his comments on my shots should be taken more as a guide than a rule, giving me the opportunity to improve my animation skills while doing a scene that I enjoy working on.
Makes Me Feel Comfortable Participating
Jeremy has really been dedicated to answer heavy questions to satisfaction in as much detail as he could. We could throw as many questions as we wanted to and he would patiently take his time (even extra time) to answer them. He is really nice and makes me feel comfortable participating in class. I will always recommend him as a mentor for students who are a little shy.
