Marc always makes sure we know different ways and methods to do our assignments. His Q&As are super helpful and clear. He is always excited to see what we do for our assignments, and his eCritiques are always very eye opening and informative.

Marc is one of the best mentors I’ve had. I’ve tried learning Maya from several sources but no one has been as clear and focused as Marc. It is a vast tool but Marc knows exactly how to distill down concepts and explain why you do things a certain way rather than just telling you to hit a button. He’s also got an amazing eye for detail. He was able to pick out the smallest adjustments that really made my work shine!

With Marc’s help, I was able to learn the basics of Maya Autodesk, and get feedback regarding animation as a whole and how to approach it going forward. Absolutely recommend to anyone stuck choosing a mentor for learning Maya.

Marc clearly knows A LOT about Maya and animation. I have to say I’ve never met someone who knew the tool so intricately as to spend the better part of an hour explaining what colors to use with the animation trail. Every question I had was met with an immediate, clear and informative reply. The critiques were always spot on (many rendered a facepalm as I realized what I had missed) and yet encouraging.

Marc’s wealth of knowledge is truly impressive. Their deep understanding of the subject matter is evident in every interaction we’ve had. Their ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner has been instrumental in enhancing my comprehension and critical thinking skills. Their guidance not only provided answers but also encouraged me to explore deeper, fostering a genuine love for learning.

Marc Flash is a really good first instructor for me. He broke down a very intimidating software and made it seem easier to understand. When he’s instructing, he’s very clear and to the point but he won’t miss a chance to have fun from time to time and teaches us to also have fun in what we’re doing.

Marc had very clear and intensive demo lectures that allowed me to learn techniques that ranged outside the week’s concepts. I learned more from Marc in my 6 week workshop than I did in a whole semester of university. Incredible!

I rated my mentor Superstar because so far in the Maya Workshop, he has explained and given information in a great way and is always asking if we have questions to ask him during the Q&As. If we have, he doesn’t hesitate to answer and often adds supporting information.
