Alan Rogers

Alan Rogers is a phenomenal mentor. I’ve studied animation/digital art in college but this class seriously doesn’t compare. Not only do I feel like my work has improved significantly, I feel a lot more confident in finding mistakes, improving my polish, and providing better animations for my job (They noticed my improvement!). Alan also contained a lot of really great philosophical and therapeutic dad wisdom when it came to working in the field. Anyone would be very lucky to take his class 🙂

It feels less like going to class and more like getting solid advice from a trusted friend. Thank you!

Alan is very supportive and encouraging. He has just the right feedback to get my shots to the next level. I really feel like I’ve deepened my understanding of the art form through his lessons; I see everything in a new light.

I’m very satisfied with the teachings received by Alan. Beside being clearly an expert in his field and giving exhaustive lessons, he creates a very positive and engaging learning environment. He’s patient and listens carefully to students’ questions and issues. His tutorials are very helpful. I feel I’ve learned a lot from him.

Alan was amazing! He always has extra videos he posts every week to help guide us through our assignments. Was always open to answering any questions we might have. His eCritiques are always above 10 minutes and would be full of useful advice that is explained thoughtfully and clearly. 10/10 a fantastic mentor!

I really enjoyed Alan’s enthusiasm for the class and I was pleasantly surprised by it. I’ve been in a job that’s reduced my passion for animation, but being in his class has reinvigorated that and his optimism, as well as his sharp critiques, encourage me to continue animating because this is what I want to do with my life.

Alan is amazing! He has a great way to give you very helpful, important feedback in a way that builds you up and not tear you down. His instructions and how he explains concepts/techniques is very clear and easy to understand. I would absolutely pick him again as mentor.
