Carlos Baena has been a professional animator since 2001 and is currently co-directing the upcoming Paramount Pictures Animation film, The Tiger’s Apprentice. He previously worked at Pixar Animation Studios and Industrial Light & Magic. He was nominated for an Annie Award for his work on Luigi and Pitstop in the Pixar film, Cars. Carlos co-founded Animation Mentor with Bobby Beck and Shawn Kelly in 2005—before Facebook or YouTube even existed! He teaches Animation Basics, the first Core Character Animation Course at Animation Mentor.
