What Scott’s Students are Saying
Always Super Approachable
Scott Lemmer is an amazing instructor and created a great first impression of Animation Mentor for me, as this was my first course at AM. During the Q&As, I could tell he valued our feedback and questions, and he was always super approachable through the term. If he decided to teach other character animation courses, I would certainly take one with him again!
Clearly Knows Exactly What He’s Talking About!
I love Scott!! He’s so kind, and clearly knows exactly what he’s talking about! His feedback always makes sense and always improves my shots. I’m so glad I got to learn from him this term! Thank you so much Scott!!
Very Nice and Always Has a Good Energy
Very nice and always has a good energy when class is on. I have grown to love the animation style in Fortnite, since it was my main game that I would play with my buddies and I think that helps me in this animation process with Scott being on the Fortnite team I think he gives me great critiques with that certain style of animation. I have grown so much in just these past 10 weeks and will be sad to not have you as my mentor for next class but will try to get a spot in class 3. Thank you Scott!
Wants You to Improve Your Craft and Succeed
One thing I noticed right away from Scott’s lectures is that he quite visibly wants you to improve your craft and succeed. No matter your initial skill, or how the topic was taught in the syllabus, he will 100% do everything in his power to help you understand even the smallest detail. Most animators find a way of animating more efficiently, but Scott goes through different ways so his student’s get the possibility to choose which one suits them best. Being his student was an honor and a pleasure!
Always Really Thorough with His Demos
Scott has been a wonderful mentor. He’s provided such great advice and insight into what it’s like being a professional in the industry and about how to succeed as an animator and student. His Q&As are always really thorough with his demos as well as his comments on the video lectures. He also encourages us to ask any questions even if they don’t directly relate to the class or the week’s material. His critiques are very encouraging and make me want to do better week after week. Scott’s a gem.
Professional, Personable, Clear, and Concise
Scott is professional, personable, clear, and concise with his lessons/feedback. Very knowledgeable and quick to provide a lot of assistance. He’s also quick to provide information like hotkeys when asked. Wonderful mentor!
Classes are Super Helpful
Scott has been really awesome about making the critiques collaborative instead of just making corrections without teaching. His classes are super helpful and I feel like I’ve learned a ton already!
Critiques are Always Very Helpful and Clear
Scott has been a wonderful mentor and an incredible introduction to the Animation Mentor program! He always brings a positive atmosphere to the Q&As and is eager to answer any of our questions. His demos are clear and concise and effective at getting across the week’s material. He is also very willing to improvise if needed to help better explain things mid-Q&A. His critiques are always very helpful and clear.
