Jane is very committed to her students, responds super quickly to emails, and grades by the end of Sunday, Which gives everyone plenty of time to address her notes. She prefers simpler but better-animated shots, so you can really focus on the movement. Overall she’s a very nice human being and gives cool insight into her job! 100% would recommend her!

Jane’s presentation and analysis of animation during the Q&A have been very helpful, well-prepared and organized. She showed me how the animation essential principles are working together in feature animation with examples. She encourages us to keep our assignment simple and instead try to do it really well. I appreciate her approach because it helps me focus on the essentials. Her eCritiques have been very practical. I look forward to the remaining half and learn from her as much as I can.

The weekly feedback is outstanding. Very concise and helpful, and not just for bettering the basic skills, they [Jane] give very good advice on things to look out for and why things are better done in other ways. This instructor definitely cares and is focused on making us better animators.

Jane is such an excellent mentor, I’m so grateful that I had her for my first class. She’s very fun and easy to talk to. She’s great at giving feedback, and when she heard that I was new to animating with Maya, she sent me tutorials and ways to sign up for tutor sessions. And her weekly critiques are very helpful, detailed and easy to understand. I would highly recommend her.

I think Jane did an amazing job! She showed a really hard working side of herself and with her the industry as a whole. So with that I and many of my classmates became really motivated to strive to be as hard working as her.

It has been great learning from Jane. I love hearing about what it is like working for Pixar. It’s nice to hear a realistic perspective of what it’s like to work in the industry.
