Kitty Fung

Kitty provided clear instructions and helpful resources for each assignment, and her critiques were very helpful in fine tuning each animation. She also helped with a scheduling conflict I had where I wouldn’t be at my computer for a couple weeks. She provided me with extra resources and instructions on how I should accomplish the assignment ahead of schedule so I can submit them on the actual due dates. Overall very helpful and clear with her instructions and critiques.

I just simply think Kitty did an amazing job every lecture being thorough with explanations and demos. She would always ask herself if she’s missing anything when class is over to make sure nothing has been overlooked. This is why I rate her at the top 🙂

She [Kitty] is really helpful and uses drawings and demos to explain certain ways of doing things in Maya. Also, she shares extra resources which would help me every week.

Always good to listen to her feedback. She is always clear and her suggestions go into making the best out of my ideas for my assignments.

 My mentor [Kitty] has a strong attention to detail in the eCritiques. I’m able to understand weight and spacing clearly when she goes over my curves in the graph editor. I’ve taken 3D animation courses before, but wasn’t able to connect how much control I had over my animation’s spacing and weight until I had this class with her. Also I like how she puts emphasis on solid animation over complexity! I used to have a bad habit of overanimating, which often resulted in a loss of clarity or weak animation.

I think my mentor did a great job! I thought her sync sketches were incredibly helpful and appreciated her advice and quick replies throughout the course 🙂 Kitty did an awesome job overall and I think she is an excellent mentor!

Ms. Fung went above and beyond her scope of work to explain animation fundamentals to my class. I am grateful for her extensive explanations.

Kitty is very good at describing in detail and giving examples of why the animation needs to be done correctly and how important it is to know the basics. She is detailed in her Q&As and provides extra links to further information. Which is very helpful. I also love her personality!
