What Sean’s Students are Saying
A Great Mentor!
Onur is a great mentor! I really like how he brings out examples for every week’s lesson and breaks them down in the Q&A session. I learned a lot from those tips that I never would’ve thought about when doing the assignments.
One of the Best Mentors
I think that Onur is an excellent animator, mentor and person! He has really helped me improve my animation and workflow abilities. Everything I’ve learned from him has been incredibly valuable! He’s got to be one of the best mentors on the site!
He Always has Feedback to Give
Onur has been incredibly helpful to me in this class. Every piece of feedback has been clear and precise, he is able to pinpoint the areas for improvement in my work and give a range of ways for me to fix them. Perhaps most importantly he always has feedback to give, even after we’ve finished the shot, which is great for encouraging me to keep improving my work. He always makes great use of Q&A time by going through techniques that are relevant to the project and making sure we understand them.
Always Helped Me with His Feedback
He [Onur] is really spectacular, and even though I had many life issues that made me feel like I wasn’t doing my best, he always helped me with his feedback and gave me confidence.
He is Clear and Concise
Onur is an amazing mentor. He is clear and concise about the assignment, the critique, and everything animation. We appreciate how he would spend time talking about assignments and reviewing them again (only for improvements). He understood why we would find certain things difficult and would give a clear explanation so everyone (no matter their level) would understand. Overall fantastic mentor, it would be great to have him again as a mentor in future classes.
A “Right to the Point” Kind of Mentor
I love how Onur is a “right to the point” kind of mentor. It really made these concepts click and I could feel, and see in my animation, when I was getting better. I also greatly appreciate how he runs Q&A making sure each person gets a second to ask about their critique if they have any questions. I think he’s fantastic and I’ll be looking at taking one of his more advanced classes later!
Knowledgeable and Easy to Talk To
Really appreciated his critiques and enjoyed going through other students’ shots and hearing his advice for them as well. Virtual tour of some programs and tools used at Dreamworks was also really cool! Onur was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and really worked with his students. Thanks for a great Intro to Acting.
So Supportive, Helpful, and Open-Minded
Onur was an amazing professor who was so supportive, helpful, and open-minded throughout the entire term. His eCritiques were always helpful because of his technical advice and creative ideas he always implemented. He always made sure to let us ask questions so we would never be confused or behind. And he even gave us an insider tour of what it’s like to work at DreamWorks as an animator there himself.
